How to Use Green Bean Sprouts

STEP 1:
Begin with a clean, wide-mouth mason jar. Please note that our sprouting lids are specifically designed for 86mm wide-mouth mason jars and are not compatible with regular or standard mouth jars. Fill the jar with your chosen beans and cover them with cool, clean water.

STEP 2:
Soak the beans for 8 to 12 hours at room temperature. In the morning, use the sprouting lid to strain the water. Rinse the beans thoroughly with filtered water and drain again.

STEP 3:
Place the jar upside-down at an angle in a location away from sunlight. Make sure to rinse and drain the beans through the sprouting lid at least twice a day. This entire process will typically take 2 to 5 days.

STEP 4:
Allow the sprouts to grow until they reach approximately an inch in length. For lentils, mung beans, chickpeas, and adzuki beans, a half-inch is ideal.
