The stainless steel sprouting lids we offer are built to last. Measuring 3.3 x 3.3 x 0.6 inches, these durable lids feature mesh holes that are large enough to effectively drain water, yet small enough to retain the tiniest of seeds, such as alfalfa.

To begin the sprouting process with a quart-sized jar, start by adding 1 1/2 tablespoons of seeds. Screw on the fine mesh lid and partially fill the jar with warm, not hot, water. Swirl the water around to clean the seeds, then pour it out. Refill the jar with warm water, ensuring the seeds are submerged to a depth of about 3 times their own. Allow the seeds to soak overnight, away from direct light, to kickstart the germination.

In the morning, drain the soak water. Find a spot out of direct sunlight and prop the jar at an angle to allow any excess water to drain out. Turn the jar periodically to evenly distribute the seeds. Cover the jar with the sprouting lid and a dishtowel, and let the seeds sprout for 3 to 4 hours.

Rinse the sprouting seeds with cool, fresh water 2 or 3 times per day until they are ready to eat or refrigerate. As the seeds begin to shed their hulls, let the water overflow through the mesh lid, allowing the hulls to float out. Gently shake off any excess moisture and drain the sprouts in a colander.

Avoid placing the sprouts in salt water, and keep them dry. If you encounter any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Our stainless steel mason jar lids and stands are made from 304 grade, rust-proof material that is built to last. The wide mouth lids measure 3.3 inches (86mm) in diameter, while the regular mouth lids are 2.36 inches (70mm) in diameter.

These two-part, fine mesh sprouting lids excel at drainage, making it easy to grow your own delicious sprouts and keep them fresh. They are versatile and suitable for a wide range of seeds, including alfalfa, mung beans, kale, radish, broccoli, lentils, and more.

We stand behind the quality of our products and offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you encounter any problems, feel free to reach out, and we'll be happy to assist you with a return or refund.
